The world is corrupt and everyone knows it. Newborns are put to death every hour. Innocent lives are beheaded every minute. And Christ’s church is being persecuted every second.
It’s sad that such beautiful creations are being destroyed every day. It’s like an artist making the best portrait ever, and then suddenly the portrait blows up in flames. And the truth is that’s us. We’re the portrait, burning ourselves away.
We have no respect for another human being, yet we plunder ourselves with goods and treats.
The hard thing for a pastor to admit is: we’re sinners. That’s the catch to forgiveness. You’re not making it to heaven until you ask for forgiveness. And thousands of people are being lead astray.
But it’s even harder for Americans to accept the truth. It’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.
American’s lives are filled with too much. We have so much, how easy it is to lose Christ. If God was the focus of your life, would you be different than you are right now? Has your life transformed yet?
Reading the Bible doesn’t change you. Knowing what’s in the Bible and living it, transforms you.
So many of the kids in North America are spoiled, while kids in the middle-east find bomb shell shrapnel in their eye, it’s incredible.
If the Bible was medicine, would you be more urgent? If the Bible was medicine to the dying people, would you deliver it before they die?
Time flies too fast. You don’t realize how much time on earth is left. You can’t change others, but you can change yourself.
I’ve learned this over the years. I was lead astray. I’ve floated away from Christ. But one thing seems to always keep me connected to Him. Time keeps me connected to Christ, and not just that, Christ keeps me connected to Christ.
I wish I knew that all my friends would be going to heaven. But I don’t know if they will. I pray every night they do…but it’s not for me to judge.
“And I saw the dead, great (adults) and small (kids), standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done.” Revelation 20:12. If your name isn’t engraved in the Book of Life, then you’re not making it to eternity. And there’s nothing you can do about it.
God chooses who he adopts. You better strive to please God (with his help), and if you’re pleasing in HIS sight, then you’ll be adopted. You’ve got to be the child in the orphanage that acts best, that’s filled with morals, and is obedient to whatever his/her masters says.
I wish, I could heal all the wounded, but it’s not my job. A human can’t change a human. We’re the same. I have no power over another human. But something greater can change something lesser. God changes you…and you’ve got to let him.
A clay pot being formed into something else hurts, but in the end it pays off.
When God changes you, you’ll go through trials, pain, suffering, grief, but in the end you’ll be different shape. You’ll be a shape that can fit through the key hole, and enter into the kingdom of God.
“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12
